Ongoing Research

The CHRC is very keen in working on affordable housing in the light of Naya Pakistan Housing Project. In that regard the ongoing research is specifically aimed at affordable housing and it is aimed that each of academic department involved in this project do allocate at least two Final Year Research Topics to undergraduate students. Currently the following topics are being allocated to students for research. Utilizing mortar as a construction material for affordable housing.
Assessment of Irrigation water demand and efficient canal design of Pakha Ghulam area.
Strength, Thermal resistivity and cost evaluation of foamed concrete slabs.
Ground water Replenishment using rainwater harvesting techniques, A case study of area.
The following topics are being currently pursued as research by different faculty members of CUSIT
Performance based design.

  • Non-Linear Response History Analysis for active seismic regions of Pakistan, especially Himalayas.
  • Pavement Materials Engineering.
  • Methods of conservation of Water resource.
