  • Short Profile

Major: English Literature, with particular focus on modern novels.

Specialization: My academic focus is on American literature, with a particular emphasis on African-American literature. I am dedicated to exploring the rich and diverse narratives that capture the African-American experience. My research delves into the cultural, historical, and social contexts that shape these stories and their impact on American literature and broader societal understandings.

In my studies, I examine the works of key African-American authors, focusing on themes such as identity, resistance, freedom, and the quest for self-definition. I aim to uncover the complex ways in which these writers articulate their experiences and contribute to the literary landscape. A critical aspect of my research is the examination of the intersectionality of race, gender, and class within African-American literature, providing a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of the texts.

Beyond African-American literature, my academic interests extend to feminism, race studies, gender studies, identity issues, post-modern, post-colonial studies, and the exploration of 20th and 21st-century novels. I am particularly intrigued by how these themes intersect and influence contemporary narratives. By concentrating on novels, I seek to understand and analyze the complex ways in which literature reflects and challenges socio-political realities and how it continues to shape modern thought and culture.

I strive to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of the diverse contributions to literature and their profound impact on society. I would welcome research opportunities in these areas, aiming to further understand and analyze the complex ways in which literature reflects and challenges socio-political realities, and how it continues to shape modern thought and culture.
