Dr. Khalid Azim Khan is a distinguished academic leader with over 25 years of extensive experience in higher education, specializing in quality assurance, academic accreditation, strategic planning, and language acquisition. As an internationally recognized higher education professional, Dr. Khan has demonstrated exceptional expertise in driving institutional excellence and fostering global academic standards. Dr. Khan holds a PhD in English Applied Linguistics and has cultivated a robust research portfolio focused on effective learning strategies, quality assurance frameworks, academic accreditation processes, and strategic planning in higher education. His scholarly contributions have significantly advanced the understanding of these critical areas, positioning him as a thought leader in the field. During his 17-year tenure at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Dr. Khan served as the Head of International Accreditation, where he successfully led the international accreditation of 36 academic programs. His leadership in this role has been instrumental in enhancing the university’s global reputation and academic standing. As a certified Quality Assurance (QA) Reviewer, Dr. Khan has established strong professional collaborations with leading international accrediting bodies and networks, including INQAAHE, ABET, ASIIN, AHPGS, COE, AALE, EFMD, SSS, QS Rankings, and ETEC-NCAAA. In addition to his institutional leadership, Dr. Khan is a sought-after consultant and trainer, providing capacity-building programs and advisory services on Quality Assurance Frameworks, Academic Accreditation Systems, Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, and Language Acquisition. His consultancy work spans both national and international contexts, reflecting his commitment to advancing higher education standards globally.
