Prof. Dr. M. Haroon Khan is a senior academician and a research leader with over 17 years of national and international experience in health sciences, public health, Bioinformatics, and research management. He is currently serving as Head of the Department of Allied Health Sciences, Professor of Health Sciences, and also the Director of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC). Dr. Haroon holds a PhD along with advanced qualifications in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, and Public Health, and has also worked as a consultant at the World Health Organization (WHO) Headquarters, Switzerland. His areas of expertise include Public Health, Data Analytics, Digital Health, Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics, and Health Systems Strengthening. In addition to his academic role, he is actively engaged in peace building through education and health, and has successfully led donor-funded projects, including the Community Resilience Building for Countering Violent Extremism (CRBCVE) project, in collaboration with the European Union (EU), UNODC, and NACTA. His work reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation, and social impact within the integrative Health Sciences.
